On Thursday I am addressing a forum on mental health and well being in the Convention Centre, and then onwards on the same day to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to interview ex Irish Coach Eddie O Sullivan for the High Achievers Club. A club that mentors people on achieving dreams and goals from a business point of view to personal growth, I have agreed to interview a high profile figure from either sport or business over the next year on their success and failures, and what in their mind is the mindset of becoming a high achiever.
On Friday I am taking the stage with George Hook at a charity lunch, and then onto the Glenview Hotel in Wicklow for what I hope will be an entertaining pre dinner talk around my life in rugby to a business group prior to the Ireland v Wales rugby match.
What I deliver
Mental Well Being
1 In 4 Irish people will suffer some form of mental health problems in an area that is so often stigmatised. Its good to talk.
Over the years I have been able to tailor different areas of public speaking. I am often asked to be a national spokes person on mental health issues and well being, and have addressed many schools, sports clubs and businesses on the value of strong body strong mind. I am a national spokesperson and ambassador for St Patricks Hospital “Walk in My Shoes” and “Cycle against Suicide” as well as many other smaller or locally based mental health charities. And hope to run out my own innovative Be Happy in Your Skin project aimed at transitional year students and allowing them to be happy with whom they are.
Motivation- Business and personal growth
I am also a motivational business speaker and part of the High Achievers Club, a club that drives success through indivdual and group mentoring. My lessons in sport, mental wellbeing, professional life and sport coaching, business acumen and media insight gives me an ideal platform to motivate individuals and businesses alike on achieving their goals and effective man management. It is about empowering others to achieve their goals in life.
Entertainment. After dinner speaking
My years as a rugby player, coach and media pundit, plus my stories of the characters in rugby, has allowed me to speak at many after dinner and lunch functions and hopefully entertain both a male and female audience. I am also well able to MC events from start to finish and orchestrate action packed quiz nights.
